Going Social
Social Media Marketing is a means to grab attention, connect with audience and gain website traffic for your organization. The most important aspect of social media is content as it attracts the attention of readers and encourages them to like, share and comment on the post and this in turn engages more users from across the globe. The message spreads from one user to another thus increasing the credibility of the communication message and making it viral. As content is the king in social media, it is essential that one maintains originality to engage and entertain the viewer so that the content goes viral if they share it with other people.
The advantages of using Social Media Marketing is that it doesn’t increase the cost of the company and this platform is easily accessible to anyone who has an internet connection through a mobile, laptop or computer. It is easy to use, helps people from across the globe to interact with each other and build both personal and professional relationships.
Microblogging is recently seen as an emerging trend across the globe and Twitter as a platform has transformed non - bloggers into micro bloggers. This has further given rise to photo blogging with the advent of platforms like Instagram and Pinterest. Facebook offers a plethora of services such as liking, sharing, commenting on a particular post/photo/video etc. YouTube is predicted to be the next television channel of the globe whereas LinkedIn has emerged as a professional network. With these emerging platforms the scope and reach of the traditional media has been challenged and it is being replaced by these new media. It goes to show that the time and attention of the audience is most critical for any business operating on social media platforms as there no barriers to time and space.
In today’s era it is essential that every business/firm/organization whether big or small are present on social media platforms as audiences first check information about them online. Hence every company must monitor their social media content and platforms on a ‘minute to minute basis’. It shows an organization’s commitment, helps them to know what people are talking about them and engage their users to brand and promotional related activities. The Hub and Spoke Strategy can be integrated in social media especially Micro Blogging. Tools such as Facebook Insights, Twitter Handles etc. provides real time search results due to immediacy of messages. This can also be integrated with the concepts of SEM and SEO and Online Reputation Management.
As people like and share they become advocates of your brand and act as catalysts by spreading awareness, generating interests and finally spreading the communication message about your brand/product. This can either lead to positive or negative word of mouth publicity over the web about a company. A digital campaign can be integrated with a campaign for traditional media to utilize the power of social media effectively. Also Apps have been developed to integrate various social media platforms, thus linking what you might have posted on Twitter with Facebook and YouTube etc.
Thus conversations about your brand can be monitored and measured effectively giving you a chance to gaining insights in the market, giving your business a digital identity, interacting with customers and building your brand in the right direction.

I’m Perfect.
ahh..came on blogger after so long...i just happened to notice that now a days people tend to use the word "perfect" a lot. They think that they themselves are perfect and no one else can match their experience.
Perhaps you must have noticed that I’m Perfect when put together as a word becomes imperfect.
Well over the years as technology advanced the world around us has become very competitive. As expectations rise, we go about fulfilling them but in this process we forget a simple but realistic fact of life that we as humans are not perfect. We have always set perfect goals for our life i.e. to have a perfect career, to be the most perfect friend, to graduate with a perfect degree from the best college so on and so forth. But we seem to forget that we were created to be imperfect, to make mistakes and learn from them.
If we don’t achieve the desired goals our life becomes imperfect and we label ourselves as failures. We grumble, moan and complain. Words like ‘stupid’, ‘crazy’ and ‘silly’ replace ‘creative’, ‘brilliant’ and talented. We should strive and work hard to achieve what we desire but we shouldn’t succumb to our failures or the pressure put on us by our parents, teachers or society. Happiness and joy in life should be retained and we should stop being nostalgic.
Who said life is fair? Who said you had to get a score out of 100? Ever thought of the answers to these questions? Rules as we call them were created by society, by our parents and in short by us. It gives us the definition of right and wrong. Slowly but surely it controls everything we do and don’t do. When you party till 3am it is termed as inappropriate. And we may ask why? It is because society has generalized this fact.
Humans are meant to be different. We make different choices and lead different lives. And life is all about learning. Learning comes from experiences, difficulties and our mistakes. If we think we our perfect why even learn and live if we know everything. We should learn to take risks and make mistakes but at the same time learn wisely. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. So why do people associate negatively with the word imperfect?
If we think closely we would realize that mistakes, difficulties and experiences contribute the most to our happy moments. If you hadn’t tripped, you wouldn’t have found a friend. If you hadn’t screwed that question you would have never learnt. If you had never been punished in school, you probably wouldn’t have stories to share with your grandchildren.
We should not hide our weak points or flaws just to prove our greatness. Instead we should work around them and try to improve ourselves. Incompetency is often viewed as unattractive. But one should remember that only machines are perfect, not people. Perfect things perform their jobs with 100% accuracy and speed but they don’t smile, they don’t fight, don’t emote and are certainly less attractive compared to people. Machines our perfect till they are working, only to be replaced silently when they are no longer able to perform and generate expected results. But we must not forget that people are meant to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes create layers that help define you.
It is because of our imperfections that we become truly perfect. They make us who we are i.e. humans. Perfection leads to consistency. Imperfections lead to spontaneity and creativity. The happiest moment of your life is a result of imperfection. Think about it.

Soulful Moments
Aha ..I think last Sunday was an awesome one better than today… I met my college friends at last…after 3 months :S…I know what you must be thinking; that I’m a lazy friend who doesn’t meet my friends but your wrong I wanted to meet them for so long…but these people this work and that work and when one cancels everyone else cancels as well… the plan to meet goes flop… plus divs promised to cook for me which she hasn’t still done.
Anyway last Sunday we people finally met; I think we were chit chatting for more than an hour. I got a solid bit from all 3 of them when I showed them a list I made of mobile phones; to choose from as I planned to buy a new one…n the weather made it more interesting. Rain+hot tea (my chottu tea cup)…not to forget the way jugal was trying to save himself from getting wet. :P
The mad moment came when jugal tried to fit divya’s umbrella in his helmet to prevent it from flying away but at bandstand it was very windy … for one moment farhan thought the wind will take me away..lol…fun moments the more I describe the longer this post is going to get …so I will stop here.
So when was the last time you had so much fun with your friends?

Holding on....
I got really bored writing a diary as I could share stuff only with it …so I decided I should start writing a blog…:)
Since graduation is over now…. And I have a little time on my hands I decided to learn a few things I wanted too. For instance just yesterday I decided I want to learn how to ride an activa and my sister being an expert tutored me….well this gave my biker friend (jugal) a heart attack as I can’t even cross the road properly for nuts. Divya, who puts up with a crazy person like me supported and encouraged me to go ahead. I think my other friends farhan, naquiya, rashida ,fatema etc etc must have fainted by now hearing about this…. :p not to mention may be my bff has forgotten me..Perhaps he thought I banged somewhere and must be lying in tapes and bandages..or maybe he just doesn’t want to talk.
Well in life we make friends …we don’t give any kind of excuses to let them in our life or chuck them out…so let’s hold on to them…:D
Well I guess I should stop now and maybe I’ll come back after a while and post something new!
